My Story

When I look back over my journey in the nail industry, it’s hard to believe it’s been over 25 years. What began as a passion quickly grew into a lifelong commitment to creativity, learning, and most importantly, teaching.
For more than two decades, I’ve had the privilege of working with Cuccio UK, one of the world's leading companies in nail products and training. As a self-employed nail technician and educator, I’ve travelled across the UK delivering courses to groups, wholesalers, and private students. From beginners to advanced sculpting and nail art, to workshop and conversion days - every course I teach is tailored with one goal in mind: to help every student reach their full potential.
Training isn’t just something I do - it’s something I deeply believe in. I take pride in offering continued support and advice even after the course ends. I’ve always made it my mission to deliver training to the highest standard possible, and I’m grateful to consistently receive positive feedback from my students. I've also had the honour of mentoring new educators, who’ve shadowed me to learn the ropes and grow into their own teaching roles.
Between 2011 and 2013, I took on a new adventure and opened a nail boutique and pottery painting studio in Draycott, Derbyshire, named Creations of Draycott, located in The Courtyard. This space wasn’t just a business - it was a creative hub where I ran professional training courses and hosted fun, engaging children’s parties. During this time, I entered a worldwide nail competition that was featured in Scratch Magazine, and my shop was also highlighted in the Scratch Pad section - a proud moment in my career.
Unfortunately, life threw an unexpected challenge my way. My mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and Dementia, and I made the difficult decision to close the shop. Family has always come first for me, and I chose to shift my focus to part-time teaching with Cuccio, while offering nail and foot treatments from a studio at home - an annex separate from my main house. This allowed me to care for my mum while still doing what I love most - nurturing creativity, supporting others, and being part of this beautiful industry.
I’ve recently relocated to Ilkeston, Derbyshire, where I now work from a modern and inviting nail studio located at the back of my garden. It’s a peaceful, welcoming and private space where I continue to offer treatments and one-to-one training. Clients and students can enjoy a calm, one-to-one experience in a welcoming environment, with the same high standards, passion, and personal touch that have guided me throughout my career.
This is my story - one of passion, perseverance, and purpose. And I’m just as excited about what’s next as I was on day one.
